Scones

First things first… Pronounced skōn (rhymes with gone) or skän (rhymes with bone). Secondly, it’s all about the butter and the batter. A British snack of Scottish origin that is a petite lightly sweetened biscuit-like cake that is oh-so-flaky and often served jam, a fruit curd (lemon, raspberry, lime) or clotted cream (a thick cream on the plain side).
