Rockin Red Velvet Cupcakes

Sweetopia® 's Rockin Red Velvet Cake creation is now available in cupcake form. The origin of this cake and its name was derived by the owner of an Extract Co and dates back to the Great Depression. It's lusciously moist and rich in texture with subtle notes of all natural rich cocoa throughout, hues of deep red (likely caused by the reaction of acidic unfiltered raw vinegar and cream) that also helps to bring out the red anthocyanin (the red flavonoid pigment found in plants) in the cocoa as well as the all natural cranberry-based red food coloring used in this standard cake recipe. As for the “velvet” in the cake's name, it comes not from the color of crushed velvet, but from the smooth texture of fine cake crumb. The end result is one deliciously moist and "velvety" rich cake. Don't worry, there is no cranberry taste that comes through either in the cake. Never Anything Artificial! Servings: 1/2 dozen (6) full size cupcakes.
