The main even begins with all natural pumpkin puree, cream fresh orange zest and a skosh of sweet cinnamon and delicate nutmeg. Good old fashioned basic ingredients kicked up a wee notch with the fresh orange zest that is wonderful match with pumpkin and the crunchy vanilla shortbread crust. It's quite good on its own but if you wish to spiff up even more, try topping it with a dollop of fresh homemade lightly sweetened whipped cream or a scoop of good quality, vanilla bean or maple ice cream.
