So what makes bread so special? There's just something special that happens when you bite into a warm roll or slice of bread and slather it with a warm GF bruschetta, French butter with sea salt, honey, homemade jam or your choice of schmear) as it truly is an experience worth repeating over and over!
Sweetopia(r) has finally tiptoed into the bread world and is smitten with the challenge of making gluten-free, nut-free, preservative-free & dye-free bread and rolls that texturally excellent and with just the right balance of taste where you know it's made with yeast but it doesn't knock you over the head or it's that dark Boston-style bread you grew up with and came in a can.
This Boston-style brown bread is made to the same standards as all of her hand-produced artisan products; always gluten-free, nut-free, preservative-free, dye-free with every ingredient carefully and purposely selected with the highest of quality to produce the desired outcome of perfect taste and texture over and over again. They take their shape from the cans they are cooked and steamed in; shaped just as the original B&M Boston brown bread was. The finished product is a medium density, good moisture and with a moderate amount of raisins and light molasses overtones (as was with the original Boston brown bread). I've tried it gently warmed, plain, lightly toasted with a schmear of French butter, and also lightly toasted with a light schmear of cream cheese. All 3 ways, I enjoyed. I think I would also enjoy it served in sandwich form (sliced thin and with a schmear of cream cheese and thin slices of cucumber. How about open face with thinly sliced ham and slice of your favorite cheese or better yet with your favorite bowl or cup of hot soup. It's hardy yet light. Give it a try; you'll be glad you did!
The Bread is sold in sets of 2 round loafs ~3" round by 3-1/2" tall. . These are not typically stocked so I need 3-4 business days notice from time of order to pick-up.
